Anyone recommend a blacktop rocker gasket (My rocker is metal if it helps), as my new seal is leaking and after re-checking doesn't really fit any good!

Get them from ford.
Sure it's a blacktop. Thought they were all plastic rocker covers.
Smear some oil over the seal to help it seal.

Mines metal. Got mine from eurocarparts. Had trouble finding the right one so took the cover with me and they tried about 4 of them till they got the right one. Really helpful
Got a used one in the garage if u want it. Say used. But it's just been fitted also got the cover to go with it as well

Not much use for the gasket info, but interesting for the rocker cover info.

Jason.

I was under the impression the magnesium rocker covers were rare. :eh:
With most being plastic.

I picked one up off of eBay cheap for the Cortina last year.
Not sure the seller really knew what he was selling.

I have some metal blacktop covers and some plastic.

I use a plastic one cause it purely looks smarter.

The only issus I am aware of are the belt covers.
Putting a blacktop cover on a silvertop with the belt cover on causes fitting issues.
Pretty sure you can't swap the belt covers between black and silvertops.
But you need to cut the belt cover to make them fit.

Jason.
