Hi,
has anyone got any photo's or drawings of their top mount?
I made up a 90 degree bracket but it makes the rubber really close to the block and pulleys.
Any ideas anyone please??
Thanks,
Zach

I don't have any pics with me I'll try and get some later but basically there is no way round the tensioner being really, really close to the engine mount eyelet, even after you grind loads away from it! I got mine in there eventually, and it runs close but the mounts are really solid so unless one breaks i don't think it'll ever touch. I'm using Land Rover v8 ones for the cradle and a mk1 xr2 vibratechnics one for he upper.

The front v8 mount will break.

I went through a couple before I bought a vibra technics gearbox mount.

How long did yours last? Mine seems to be ok after quite a few hard launches this week, I see that if people break them they usually break them instantly.

They took a couple months each time.

But when they go, definitely don't drop the clutch as you can feel the whole engine/gearbox move up and down.
