How we all doing these days, hope keeping safe. Anyone still got the fiesta they had 15- 20? Years ago when this place first started? Is it still an ongoing project that's not quite finished?

Pretty gutted I had to sell mine 11 years ago, oh well hope it lives on somewhere still.(doubt it but makes me feel better, lol)

Would love to read some stories and see pictures of what we all upto. Is 1.8 zetec still the engine of choice or has someone started converting to something else?

I sold my last Mk2 in 2005, and didn't have another fiesta for 12 years.
Had a pretty basic spec Mk7 for a year or so and then got my 2018 ST which I am very happy with

I think all my old cars are long gone, including the old Mk7 which my ex crashed last year
Stu and I both live in California these days, must get down to visit him sometime

Hey!

Well. I'm still alive!

Few changes for me.
I'm still rocking about in a Mk2 Fiesta. Of course. LOL!
The light blue 1.1 Ghia that I bought for the missus a few years ago.

I've still got my XR2. The black one with the Zetec. It's parked up in Manchester.
I've still got the Festival too.
Along with a ton of spares to fix it up.
Again, all in Manchester.

Me. I'm in County Durham.
In a village called Wingate.
Moved out from the family home in Manchester in December. Moved in here end of March.

But other than that, and that I'm working again now.. I'm doing ok.

Jason.

:cool!: Hey guys!
its been a while since i last logged on, currently have the mk1 Quartz, got a 1300valencia going in it and assembling a 1700 on twin 40's for when i can afford to upgrade the rad, fuel tank and pump etc.
also got back the orange USA import that i sold 5 years to the month before i bought it! thats looking like a zetec project, i have a 2.0 silvertop waiting for it.
also have wide arched fully caged xr2 project, floor is falling out of it so id love to convert it to 4x4 using a mondeo 4x4 drivetrain that i have for it, but its far down the list!
just logged on because you find invaluable information on the build threads and Q&A with the search bar that you cant get anywhere else, ill put a post up about the gearbox im building and ive posted in the wanted section, but i think it would be a miracle to get much response to either haha

stay home, stay safe, get that fiesta built!

id have uploaded pics but theyre all on my phone and im incredibly lazy :cheeks:

Howdy all. Man it’s been a while.
Still got my blue 1.4. And red xr2. Sold my white xr2 project. As it was just sitting there rotting away. And it kept getting pushed back with my SR20DET cortina taking up time and money.

Still here.

No Mk2's since I sold my original XR2 back in 2011.

I tried to buy the shell of my first one back when it came up for sale a few years ago but the guy never got back to me. I can remember seeing my first one (C134HON) ended back on the road, but the MOT expired in September 2018, so who knows where it is now. My second one (C595MVO) is MOT'd.

I'm actually in a position to buy a new toy, so had a look at some Fiesta's along with other older Ford stuff, but the price on them is just daft these days (and just generally for anything from the '80's).

Hope everyone's OK!

Hi Chris! I remember when you bought the first one and thinking, blimey that’s strong money! Could probably add a zero onto that for one in the same condition these days.

Hey Craig, things ok?

Yeah, I paid £1100 for mine in 2005 and it was minty, not concours, but damn good.

For one in the same condition these days, £8k+? Far too much for me for something that I want to use and do track days with.

i'm still here, with my 5th fiesta.
this one is about 12 years with me.

currently with the 1.3 JLA (Valencia OHV) Engine, fast road kent cam, 2xDCNF36 (Series X) carbs, front XR2 brakes, and a Mondeo master cylinder&servo.
And those tiny 165/65R13 wheels
Car runs great :drive:

You got the carbs running then!

Cool!
I'll be honest.
When those carbs passed through my hands....
For a brief moment.. I wanted to keep them.

Have you had the engine bhp tested?
I have the parts to build a similar engine.

1.3 escort Valencia.
Fast road cam.
4branch and a piper exhaust I think it is.
I was planning for a 1.3 mk1 dft and removing the dizzy and replacing it with Megajolt.

Jason.

I wanted to test it on the dyno, but.... well, i'm too lazy.
and as it runs good, i simply enjoy it.
i believe she runs at about 70-80BHP.
I was able to pass the 180km/h on the clock. GPS Waze speed was above 160, can't remember exactly how much.
I believe she can do more, but i'm just too scary at this speed.

sometime in the future, maybe i'll build an exsaust manifold.

C134HON can be seen in the last picture of this listing.

Cheers Will, cool to see that it's still alive.

If I win the lottery tonight, I'd buy it and restore it back to how it was before I got it wide arched.
